When I had wisited the apeks factory I saw only one size of lp hoose. The 
"oversized" outlets is a marketing ploy to give people the same look as 
other brands. Apkeks probably kows that this is only an imaginary 
problem, (they have the machines to test) so the use only one size of 
hoose, boy with different threads.

The way to get around this is to order the DS4 first stage. I works the 
same as the DST but you "loose" the oversized port and the unnessesary 
turret with two extra o-rings. You gain is a more compact regulator. The 
turret is a bad way to correct the problems intruduced by opting for the 
non sandard LP-port.
