Regarding the recent discussion concerning the "thimble" SPG's that thread directly into the HP port, I caution against using these devices. They are often difficult to read accurately, and in low visibility conditions, they are almost impossible. With a full size gauge, even in faceplace vis it is possible to hold it directly to your mask, either after shining your light on it for luminescence, or by holding it in front of one eye, closing the other, and shining the beam indirectly across the closed eye.
