Thanks for the interest to everbody who replied. I have run off a quick comparison dive on proplanner to illustrate the point I mentioned. Proplanner does not mention Argox in the version I have. The example dive is as follows:- 30m for 2 mins on 40% 02 ( Both Dives) 73m for 10 mins on 11% 02, 44% He ( heliair ) ( Both Dives ) Dive 1 Dive 2 30m for 0 mins on 40% 02 30m for 3 mins on 40% 02 1 min @ 18m (54 ft) 40% 02 1 min @ 15m (45 ft) 40% 02 2 min @ 12m (36 ft) 40% 02 1 min @ 12m 40% 02 3 min @ 9m (27ft) 80% 02 3 min @ 9m 80% 02 5 min @ 6m (18ft ) 80% 02 5 min @ 6m 80% 02 9 min @ 3m ( 9 ft) 80% 02 10 min @ 3m 80% 02 The sharp eyed may notice that an the 3m stop on dive 2 has increased in length by 1 minute. However, by stopping at 30m ( 90ft, and a depth at which you would normally be ongassing significantly on air ) you have significantly reduced the depth of the first calculated stop. Still they are only models, but then again my body doesn't tell me how long I should decompress for so the models are the best, if not the only, assistance I am going to get :-) Cheers, Andy H. -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
