Subject: Re: Best Place to Live and Dive in Florida?
     Drew,

If you wish to stay away from the hassle of the big city, try Crystal
River. A small city (large town) which has all the features that I need
... shopping center, bars, dive shops galore and lots of limestone.

Any place that you would be interested in will gladly send you 'tons' of
information about their 'special' place on the map. Florida, supporting &
being supported by the business of tourism, will offer you more
information
than you'll ever be able to catalog.

Anyway, during my 18 months in Florida, I lived at Jacksonville Beach,
northeast corner of Florida (or, southeast corner of Georgia) and had no
problems 'commuting' to the Springs in several hours. Of course, I wasn't
dragging a boat, but even so, it's so flat there, a trailer is not a
     problems.

     Call American Pro Dive at (800) 291-DIVE / 3483 or (904) 563-0041 as a
     starting point for Crystal River.

Better yet, the book "(Dive Guide to) Underwater Florida" by Ned DeLoach
helped me explore 'all' of Florida, from West Palm wreck diving to Edwards
Sink on the west coast of Florida.

     Good luck, Jim

I'm flexible. I work in Telecommunications. I own a boat I haven't used
in almost a year. I wanna live near a coast again. So - Floridians,
what's the bull-moose bestest all-around part of the state to be in to
experience the best cave, lake, river, spring, ocean and wreck diving
within a days drive?

See you in a couple months.....

Drew
