I agree with just about all your points. I would however like to point 
out that the present group of extreme depth air divers are the fittest 
survivors of a much larger contingent, and we all know where the ones
that weren't "fit" ended up. A very long dive @ 6 feet.
I do however support the rationale that only each of us is responsible 
for ourselves, we must answer for our errors, and that if we choose to 
pay the ultimate price to dive the way we want that's our choice.
Thinks that'll get the sparks flying.
