Probably cheeky of me, but I'd like to start this as a new thread. We've all of us heard plenty of ranting and raving on "strokes". We may have all been branded "strokes" by someone, at some time. I think what might be more important is HOW NOT TO BE A STROKE. Could someone, preferably several someones, please inform me: Exactly what is a "stroke"? What did a stroke do, to now be called a stroke? (How does a diver earn that title?) What can I do to vaccinate myself against being a stroke? If we get enough results, this might be a useful article for new divers (such as myself) who want to LEARN HOW TO DO IT RIGHT. (I realize that "doing it right" is slippery, too, so please take that into account in your replies -- tho flames welcome, too.)
