Sherwood compression fitting manifolds should not leak. However they 
might need to be tightened like a bitch. However, think about this, 
if you hit a wall hard enough to knock your center post back, what's 
going to prevent your air from rushing out?

I dive yoke, I used to use a sherwood manifold, I switched to the old 
Scuba Pro manifold because of the barrel O-Ring. If I dove DIN I'd 
dive a barrel o-ring just like the Scuba pro yoke. I have come out of 
a dive with my center post all the way backwards, and the o-rings 
prevented any leakage.
