Can you explain the swap a little more, please? Just second stage or the
first stage, too? Anything special need to be done before the switch or
can you minimize damage somehow (for example, I can imagine that turning
the air on a little bit while you reconnect might help clear the water
out of the system so it doesn't blow as much through the reg)? What damage
is done to the regs and how easy is this to fix? Is this doable with all
reg brands?

I've heard about doing this but I've never tried it because I'm not really
thrilled with the idea of destroying my regs. But it would be nice to
know that I could if I needed to (yeah, right, like I wouldn't just try it
in an out of air situation 8-).
