I must agree with JimG concerning advertisements, specifically charter schedules, to this list. I also do not want anyone to believe that this insulting post is directed at them personally, just my $0.02. An occasional schedule posted is not the problem, certainly this applies when we are talking about sites that are not frequented every weekend. But when every Tom, Dick and Harry starts posting charter schedules, this list really will become nothing but crap. I have to hit the delete key enough as it is.. I'm interested in techdiver to provide a forum to obtain information that is not easily availble elsewhere, not about some charter schedule in bumfuck nowhere which is information I could get by either calling them or ASKING the list for references. Now on the other hand, if they spent the time to post a trip report and it should mention the boats schedule then we all get something from it. But free advertising at the expense of my time - SMD. Try using an address book with your favorite charter boats #s listed. If not that what is the problem with magazines, dive directories, or WEB pages to provide this info? Oh I'm sorry.. that would mean you'd have to get off your ass and do something.. I mean don't most people fist decide what dive they want to make and secondly search for information on that site and available charters. Or have we become so marketing driven that we can't make up our minds where we would like to dive unless someone advertises it? Pathetic. The same folks that go on about how subsciber list groups shouldn't mind advertisements are the same bozos who 3 years ago thought the internet was a new fishing device.
