Subject: Regulator failure probability
I wish to know if anyone is currently using the S.P.E.C kits on the
ScubaPro MK20 1st stages (or similar "environmental protection"
modifications to any regulator), and if so, do you really think it's
necessary? I use "unprotected" MK20's in cold water and have only ever
had icing problems with the 2nd stages. Is the probability of a 2nd
stage failure great enough for the survival probability increase of a
modified 1st to be negligible? Any comments or questions?

-Sean
