I agree, although I notice the effects of narcosis much sooner. I recently
explored the "Chester Poling", a wreck off of Cape Ann Massachusetts.

The depth was approximately 26m-27m and the temperature was around 6c. It 
seemed to take longer to set up and compose the shots.

I think temperature is a contributing factor to narcosis.

~60m is the deepest I've heard. I've never been below 30m with my nikonos V.
