You can drill it and thread it like metal and use metal bolts with it. It is very stable at high temperatures, is impervious to most chemicals, and ages well. You can also carve it like wood with bladed metal tools. I've seen it used in pharmaceutical machines that are sterilized with pressurized steam and left soaking in sodium hydroxide when not in use. This isn't an advert for DuPont, just a description of this material. Rick
