Harold, ,maybe you can tell me how many three hundred foot long range cave
dives you have done with your unit, and answer the following question: "how may
rebreather engineers who worked ont he MK 15.5, MK 16, and EX 19 dive with the
WKPP, and are personal friends of mine?" How many of them would dive your
rebreaher in a cave, or anywhere for that matter? What do you think they say
about the machines they spend every day of their lives with?

Show me you log book - just the deep long range cave dives, and then tell me I
do not know what I am talking about - I do it , Tough Guy. Have you not figured
out why , after 48 years, there is still the same problem with electronic
rebreathers?

Do you not understand why nobody has one on the market right now? I did not
see the stacks of Biomarines or any other electronic rebreataher at DEMA.
Certain ones work as well as they will ever work, and all you have to do is bet
your life on that, and like Pyle, pay very close attention to what your machine
is doing, and hope that you will recognize problems before you black out, and
not after.

There are two bottom lines here : 1) if they worked, everyone would have
them,
and 2) we have one (Halcyone PVR-BASC) that works, and you do not want to admit
it, as it is dead nuts simple, and not a technogeekery (dangerous) toy. I need
a
gas extender, not a handjob or another computer to play with. We have caves to
explore that will require this very soon, and we are ready NOW - how about you,
done any long range deep cave diving with YOUR rebreather lately?

Harold, my "prejudice" is to do things right, and use the right gear for the
job. My whole team will dive mine without reservation, what does that tell you?
Afe we trying to extend gas and improve safety, or are we trying to be geeks?

This is no different than the scooter debate, the light debate, the drysuit
debate, or the gear configuration debate : on the one side are the guys who do
it, and on the other are those who don't know. - G
