your beginning to sound like that other guy.

i wont comment on the whole rig just on the fact that i know hundreds of
divers that use manifolds in the NE & do it successfully. is one system right
or Wrong? 
i don't think so. if he's comfortable diving that method then it's right for
him while i may agree with you on independents it doesn't make sense to
banish someone to the black hole for having a different opinion.

 you say you use a hogathian rig for NE solo wreck
 dives. This shows you have no clue as true 
 hogathian rigged divers use a manifold primarily 
 for GAS SHARING.
 
 You need to read Jarrods paper on hogathian,
 then you will see the light: solo diving is
 an exeption to the manifold syndrome and you need
 to use INDEPENDENTS in your environment to DO IT 
 RIGHT. (that is if you can manage your gas- if 
 you can't take option number 1: don't dive).
 
 remember- DO IT RIGHT or don't do it at all.
