Mitch The correct place for the snorkle is on the wall at the dive shop!! If your face is in the water then your gear is not set up propperly. Back inflation does not just tip you face down on the surface. If it does, then the problem is in your gear configuration. Swimming on the surface ....... roll over on your back. Wings are great for this and provide excellent stability.
