Hi Folks
Maby this is an area where we can all vote with our walletts. I
realise that the average person would and should not service their own gear,
but I suspect that at least the people on this list are mostly involved in a
technical profession( I wonder how many tech divers are also
profesional/technical people in their alter-egos) and would have the required
skills to learn how to service their own gear. Alowing for this if a demand
for a regulator that was designed to be serviced by the user ie incuded
manuals etc and did not require special tools, maby the manafactures would
respond( may be deficult in the liability department).
I recently purchased a couple of regulators made by Interspiro, these
are comercial regulators not sport regulators. I have not stipped the first
stage yet, but the second stage can be completly stripped in less than a
minute using no tools, this is all the way down to the poppett.
