Mark I bought my long hose for less than you bought your short hose, so get over it. But YOU are still missing the point. MONEY does not justify a compromise in safety. Think about it. The long hose is safer for those who actually do real diving, not jumping in a swimming pool. Fortunately, I haven't had an OAD come up to me in need of air. However, if on any of the dives that do that should happen, I would most certainly benefit from the long hose do to restrictions in a cave or being inside a wreck or scootering. Ever try to scooter and share air with the short hose? Didn't think so. Wake up to reality and get a clue Mike
