hey dud(e), tanks for the info on the battery design....looks good and solid to me... btw,,,,my brother is a battery engineer for ray-o-vac and has told me in no uncertain terms that the ONLY battery to use in the breather is a good grade alkaline battery. according to him the re/chg. stuff is NOT the way to go...the alk....give max life/long volt curve and long voltage loss curve..what this boils down to is...if you are betting your life on a battery.....make it alkaline...anybodys,,,but make it alkaline got a line on a few more ccr1000's... dr. hesseltine dove his yet???...he sure got a real good deal
