The old style, original Gavin scooter is for sale. It is different from the
newer design and has three six inch tubes all in line. One tube is for
batteries and two for buoyancy. The scooter is the original model designed by
Bill Gavin and later modified. He used it for about two years exploring
thousands of feet of deep cave. It has been tested in a chamber up to 450'
and performed flawlessly on a couple hundred dives. It is noticeably bulkier
than the more current design and therefore a little harder to carry but not a
problem in the water. Currently it is in need of a Tekna motor and probably
new batteries. It is an interesting piece of history or a scooter that has a
lot of good diving left for a motivated individual. Please confine responses
