Subject: Introduction
Howdy,

Gee, I've been meaning to join this list ever since Jorgerson & McKinney
& I finished up Leon's C2R course last spring. I finally got around to
it through my procrastination and not finding enough time to spend
surfing the web at night to crank up my Netscape machine.

I am a prowd owner of a BMR155 in a Mark 16 housing and soon (whenever
Dick King sends me my new unit) should have my CCR500 in hand. I have so
far over 31 dives on my unit with all of the dives in Washington's great
Puget Sound and the Straight of Juan de Fuca waters. I have been
actively diving for 23 years and started diving 29 years ago. I spent 20
years in the military with good dive access on the North and Mid
Atlantic US coast, Bahamas, Malta in the Med, Scappa Flow Scotland, and
various other parts of Europe. I guess I should also mention about 3
years of South and Mid Texas fresh water pergurtory. I have been
shooting underwater video for around 8 years and have a Light&Motion
housing with a TR101 Hi8 camera in it. Once I break down to get a
smaller suit inflation bottle (currently using a 30 cu ft) and locate it
elsewhere like underarm or on bottom of rig, instead of across the
chest, then I will have maneuverability to start shooting video while
diving with my C2R unit.

By profession I am a software engineer. I have always had a deep
technical interest in all aspects of diving and who knows, maybe diving
could become another profession for me. Time will tell.

I wish to say hi to Rod Farb (Hi Rod) whom I met at January's Tech show
in New Orleans. Yes Rod, I am interested in your plans for the Lithium
Battery pack for my unit and I hope the secret handshake to get it was
satisfied in January. Please let me know how to acquire such a prized
set of plans.

Thanks for the opportunity to join the TechDiver mail list. Hopefully I
can become a contributor. I definitely hope to learn more as I read more
of the expertise presented in this forum.
