Phil, we do not know abot a lot of the bad stuff because we would not
try
it in the first place, light a square light - only a moron would fall for that.
We do not know anything about Dacor regs for the same reason - the
one-of-a-kind
hoses are meant to screw the customer comepletely, and this we would not fall
for that ( we do know the pressure guages they make are crap). We obviously
would not buy a lot of shitty things at one glance.

We do , however , know what does work, why it works, and what the
problems are with gear we have used or tried. You see us stick with certain
things, and while I have been given things to try out, I only have accumulated
the ones that work. I report back on what I find, and try to help these guys do
better.

I have very little gear that I did not buy. DUI gave me a dry suit, a
custom tls 350, but I already had two of them that I bought first. I do have
deals with all of the manufacturers I use, but that is after I went to them for
my team, having already purchased a huge amount of this stuff myself, like over
thirty regulators. My team can get what I have for a fraction of what I paid
for
mine, not to mention the money I spent on shit that went overboard, like two
regulators did on Sunday. I have owned at least 60 scooters, and now have ten,
but guess what, I know what works there, too.

Your best bet is to avoid the bullshitters, instrucotor/salesmen, and
obvious strokes when it comes to serious dive gear, and ask the best in the
business what they use and why. Anybody that shows up with anything but what we
are using and claims to know something about this sport is obviously so stupid
that you need not go any further, or they are in the business of selling it.
