Andy,
I use a cardboard box with form fitting foam in it. I keep
the cardboard box dry by storing it in a cabin. This will
not work of you leave your system on deck but a
more permanent box probably would.
The reflector on the H-1 light is pretty delicate. I have
had no trouble travelling with it though as it is stored
in the foam.

Does anyone know a good way to protect an H1 lighthead while it is
attached to the light (between dives)?
Typically we dive from small boats, and the deck is a jumble of gear
between dives. Actually, the only time my gear has ever been damaged
has been between dives.
Has anyone figured out a way to protect a fragile lighthead?
Why do they call it an "H-1", anyway?
And what ever happened to Mary Jane?
