>No Ken >There is no crow bar however serious wreckers wiil take one anyway >Tom Tom- Does not George have a point about using metal-to-metal fittings on your butt-mount technique? As one who got tangled up in a wreck one time (the last time if I can help it) this seems to make perfect sence. On the dive boats I've been on most people butt-mount (personally I use a self-contained light), but it seems awkward when they are putting on their gear or when they are sitting down on the dive bench. Someone has to hold their tanks and there is a brief struggle as the battery canister is unhooked and moved out of the way. I have seen on a rough trip a fellows whole rig go crashing to the deck as he was struggling to attach the cannister. How about it if you rig a line to the cannister which goes over your sholder and then clips to one of your D-rings? This way you could pull on it, lifting the cannister up so you can sit down. Then you could have a going down between your legs to pull it down into place when you stand up. Perhaps with a series of bungee cords this could be made automatic! Say when you bend your legs at the hips and knees you could hook up a series of bungees and pulleys so the cannister is retracted as you sit down. Jim
