I've been intrigued by the recent posts about equipment configuration.
Home made backplates and harnesses seem to be popular, but I am not
confident of my ability to make such things.

What commercial makes would do as a substitute? OMS kit is
available in the UK. Would this do the job? What type of wings
would fit onto this type of backplate?
