Harris, (Grandma), we have no clue on the Zimmerman fake, but we did recognize it was fake by certain key phrases, like "improving" the scooter - we know Zimmerman and know he knows the score. All I can suggest is that they do not make them so realistic, so we ALL can spot them right away, and than ALL see the humor. Sankey got pissed about the scooter copying, as anybody would since we have put so much of our own funds into this, and would like to protect our investment. The "mutant" scooter guy is a known quantity who bounced a check on us and is now "copying" Arnold's scooter. We also have Mark Long in the forgery business, Dell Moats (Dive Rite) doing this, and several others who think that we are idiots and they know better how to do this. Good luck. I make vehicles for other non-WKPP divers and photographers in order to maintain a pipeline of parts and pieces, and to maintain my quantity leverage with Oceanic on motors and plastic parts (Arnold and I buy out stuff together for this reason), and we don't needs jackoffs trying to screw us over all of the time. I have a $15,000 inventory of machined parts I keep in case a scooter is broken, or if we need to build more, like we just did for two team members and for JJ, Brent, Rick and I to have enough for our nine-scooter dives. It is ablsolutely amazing how Arnold and I can work so smoothly together with effectively "competing" (not really , two different concepts) items for diving and make it better and more available for everyone, and then the usual problem people are out there screwing it up. Ajax and I tell each other (actually more Arnold telling me and me feeding back fields results) everything that helps make better lights, scooters, and other gear, while the people mentioned in the other two posts you are referring to as fakes sit back and criticize us while trying to make our stuff without us benefitting. The can not make them better or cheaper, and do not have the skill I possess at making things - they have proven that BIG TIME for years. Any ONE of the machines at my father's boatyard costs more than the entire plant and equipment of any dive equipment manufacturer, and have used and made so many vehicles in the last eight years that I know all of the tricks . Harris, you will excuse me if I do not like these poeple for this one additionnal thing they are doing to WKPP and diving in general , I am sure, and you will recognize that the petty thievey of these little minds and the self-deceivemnt that they practice with regard to cave exploration is what is realy coounterproductinve to the sport - we DO it, they TAlk about it, and that has been going on for ten years . Harris, look who has the end of the line everywhere, not who says they will as soon as they grow wings and a set of yuevos. By the way, anyone can fake - that is the internet. Also, anonimity has its place in these discussions sometimes, as an idea can be presented without pre-prejudice.
