I do not know what the New England guys do, but I can not get down an anchor line in a full Gulf Stream current , whcih is slightly less than four knots. It is rarely all the way in close like that, but wehn it is, it reads four knots on the meter, and is impossible . I have heard talk of more than than in New England - is this true? Two knots is doable, but unpleasant, over three is a nightmare, and I can not progress in four .
