Well done lads, you've proved that you can wage e-mail wars much better = than George Irvine - what will you do now, join another mailing list or = give us vastly less experienced divers the benefit of your diving wisdom = now that the stage is clear. Don't get me wrong, I don't slavishly agree with everything George, or = for that matter anyone on this list says, but on the occasions I have = posted to this list I have had replies with explanations from him and = others enabling me to at least understand why something is done, even if = it didn't relate to the application I had in mind. The replies I got = went into much greater detail than originally required and raised = related issues to me which I'd not even considered. This, I believe is = the essence of this list. I am sure that there are many others like me who will be learning more = from this list than we will ever contribute, after all, many more people = write books than read them, and I'm sure that you don't send 10 copies = of 'National Enquirer' or the latest Stephen King novel back to the = publisher if you do not like them. I wouldn't presume to stick up for George 1) he doesn't need it and 2) = he'd probably flame me for being so sycophantic, but on behalf of the = rest of us, cut the crap and use the list in the spirit it was intended. Soap box mode off regards Paul Harris
