OK, there are a couple of things that must be done. If they are face-masked or the reg is able to be held in place, keep them from ascending until the seizure abates. If they are in need of big deco, turn them upside down and blow the air into them with the reg, displacing the water and force them to breath. If they do not need big deco to live thorugh it, get them up. If you are worried about getting bent yourself, don't dive. Once you get them up and passed off , you can go back and reco or deco- this is no big deal for fit diver. If they can get away with it , take them out of the water. If they get it together you can put them back down , as the seixure will not likely repeat anytime soon, but this requires some serious attention and a mask or other arragements. Most of the dives you guys do really require almost no deco anyway, so get them up. If you then know what yo are doing, and hav the gear, reco them on the spot. We always reco in water, but then we were not trained by weenies, idiots, or dumb red necks, nor were we indoctrinated with fear and loathing of deco Upside down if they are deep is the only chance to keep them alive - bring them up that way and the water will be blown out and they may start breathing by themslebves, which is usually the case. Quite frankly , if you guys did not know this or do not know this, why are you doing all of these deep dives ? My opinion is that the training out there really sucks. I am gflad I trained my peoople and did not have to rely on the bullshit that gets taught elsewhere.- G George M.
