As usual you looked into the problem and made a lot of sense of it. My
breathing pattern does still resemble OC patterns, instinctive for years.

Venting the counterlung was taught by Leon and forgotten in the moment.
Venting during surfacing due to gas expansion was not considered when I
wrote the post and easily derails my hypothesis.

This is another good reason for people using CC units to get familiar with
these things in shallow water before pushing deep. After 40 hours I am
still internalizing what I was taught and experience has proven the best
way to do that. I do feel though that I have peaked on the curve.
