I am convinced that they do - at least Teknas.  My best dive story (no, I 
don't have time to write it all up for the list - wait for my book) 
involves a scooter and a big-ass tiger shark. The shark was definitely 
attracted to the scooter.  Also, I'm told that the California Ab. divers 
suspect the same thing for Whites.  I have a hunch Marco Flagg might have 
some ideas on this topic as well.
