O.K., it sounds like we're talking the same language now.  Maybe its 
semantics - my point was that you DO know *what* works, but I don't think 
any of us can really say *why* what we do works (from a 
physiological/molecular perspective).

All I'm saying is that yes, the value of the deep stops is obvious.  
Whether or not bubble physics has anything to do with why they work is 
still up in the air.

You obviously are in a position to test it for your profiles.  But I 
gotta tell you, if the bubble stuff is right, then the deep stops are 
much MORE important on the bounce dives than on the near saturation dives.
