For the past few years I've been having some fun scaring the bejeezus outa the kids at Halloween. This year I thought I'd share some of the fun with other divers. You'll need some tygon tubing, some compression fittings to attach the tubing to the low pressure port on the reg., and some plastic tie wraps. I run the tubing out a window and into a bush beside the porch. Leaving about 6 to eight inches loose (to thrash around) use the tie wrap to attach the tube to a branch. With the other end attached to the low pressure port (I use a plastic fitting to keep from damaging the threads). Then I wait in the dark beside the window and when the little monsters get near, I crack the valve open. This causes a lot of hissing and thrashing to come from the bush. Timing is everything. Last year I had one kid dive off the porch and another just dropped his candy and ran. Sometimes the tubing will self destruct from the thrashing so leave enough slack to pull some more out. Also, sometimes the tubing will get caught and not thrash around which is not nearly as effective. Have fun, and if you try this let me know what happens. C. P.S. If you video tape the festivities and win big bucks on America's Funniest Videos, my cut is ten percent. :-) ======================================================================= Chris Elmore 3916 Linbrook Dr. chris@ot*.cl*.sc*.ed* Columbia, SC, 29204
