from "r31510k@ka*.hu*.fi*" > We use finnish SUSL 92 tables downto 50m (165 ft) for all dives. > These tables are more conservative than US NAVY: [examples deleted] There are few tables which are not more conservative than USN. What are these SUSL 92 tables? > Computers typically go between these two. In repetitive dives with > typical 4-6 hr surface time tables give significantly longer > deco-times, computers give close to no penalty... > Any opinions/comments? Any experiences? I know two people who have been bent using relatively conservative Aladin (Beuchat) computers, both on repetitive dive profiles. One was after several days of intensive diving teaching cave courses. The other was on a short but deep dive following a long deep decompression dive. He had failed to make a deep traverse and, after having to retreat and decompress on air at the starting point, dove the intended exit side to recover gear which had been placed there for use at the end of the traverse. I basically don't believe Haldane theory about off gassing and consider repetitive dives the most dangerous. Bill Mayne
