Tim,

An acceptable HP seat material is Teflon.

I use a Sherwood Magnum, and was told by the Sherwood rep that the
seat was teflon, but I do not have anything in writing from them
as to this "fact". However, the hp seat in the Sherwood is user
replaceable, and should be easy to replace with teflon rod stock
if needed.

You might want to see if the hp seat is replaceable (not part of an
intergral assembly), and check with a local machinest to see if he can
fabricate some replacements if you supply the teflon.

Teflon rod can be obtained from many sources, check the Thomas Register
for one near you.

Hope this helps -

John
(PS- Thomas Register can be found in your local library reference section -
my wife asked me if the average person was familiar with this, and I told
her that I figured most people would wind up calling the public library
if given the reference work name, but I decided to post this PS)
