On Solvents"

One chemical I've heard (semi-reliable source) that is good for cleaning the
inside of tanks and regs for Oxygen is a cleaner "SIMPLE GREEN". It was
suggested that this being non-toxic, and bio-degradeable was also a plus for
SCUBA Cleaning.

For my cleaning, I have been using an ultrasonic cleaner with White vinegar,
followed by "simple green" scrubbing of the internals of tank valves, and using
q-tips to get in and get out the grease. Then, remember, use Halocarbon?
grease, NOT silicone. Also, get suitable o-rings for replacement.

One other question....

If Nylon is unacceptable for use in High O2
environments, what in the world is an acceptable tank valve seat replacement,
and where can they be bought. This sees like the most likely problem area.
** OR ** is the issue of Nylon parts strictly on where people are trying to
avoid liability, but they use them anyway???

Any practical answers from anyone?
