Thank you for all that responded.

I did notice that this could all be perceived.  I do have the problem that
you mentioned where the light does slide and maybe that could be causing the
slight problem in trying to compensate.  I will place a clip on both sides of
the belt and try it.  I also had the light previously mounted on the plate
and not the belt.
