The customer is his own worst enemy. Problem is, without people knowing what they need, they fall to the first seller that tells them what they think they need. (like asshole instructors that'll talk you out of buying a backplate and wings for the crappy transformer pack so he makes a few extra bucks) So how do we get crap off the market? Educate the consumer. Better instructing equals better equipment. In other words, if the manufacture sells what he thinks we want, then we must first know what we need, then make sure the manufacturer knows what we really want. For example: DiveRites square lights. Notice all the bad pub they got? Wonder why the new light cases are round. Hmmmmm. (they still suck though) Smarter buyers make better customers. Smarter divers make better divers. Smarter divers buy better equipment. I'm sure we can all think of a piece of equipment that's been sitting in our favorite shop for eon's because people are too smart to buy it. Thanks for listening, Mitch
