Rich, When I check the scrubber I simply look at it to see if it has settled and= if there is a color change, though after speaking with you about color= change I now rely mostly on time which is coming with experience. I have= never seen channeling and hope not to see it in my scrubber.=20 When packing the scrubber I spread it smoothly with my fingers as I go,= occasionally tapping the canisters sides while it rest flat on a bench.= Then I close the canister and invert it. It should feel solid. I will also= tap the entire canister lightly on the bench when it is closed. I then= open it again and check for settling. =20 Leon was a stickler about a properly packed canister. There seemed to be= two reasons. 2) The cost of replacing the scrubber if it is not properly= packed and channeling occurs. 1) To make sure it is packed properly to= absorb CO2 as efficiently as its design will allow. Double tongue was what ever I said the second time I said it in my post the= other=20 day. :-) Mike =20
