Weellll, the results are in. No yellow badge of strokery for me. It seems there are two different points of view..... One from the pros that dive for a living and then those that dive for recreation. While I don't hold it against the recreational ones, their point seems to be what I thought they'd tell me. All they said was things like: "I've been diving it with no problems for....." But the working divers gave me specifics as to what was wrong with it and why not to use it. In other words: Diverite is selling to the market they intended. Now, from the working diver's point - like most DIVERITE gear, this is another marketing bonanza. Like those lures that George spoke of once before, much of DIVERITES gear appears designed for catching wannabe techdivers. To the Pros, you all said the same thing. And I mean almost EXACTLY the same thing. In fact, most of you referred to the DECOMM software. I agree. I recently downloaded the shareware version (gascalc) and absolutely love it. I'm definetly getting the full version. Two dive shops in my area took a copy - checked it out, and now are buying the full version for doing gas mixing. Excellent stuff. As for DIVERITE - (I don't mind flaming the bastards cause they can bitch at me all they want) I was caught once by the gimmicks and gags too until some smarter pros taught me the difference. Before that when I bought from them they would tell us an item was in stock, that it was being shipped that day. Four or five weeks later and it hadn't come so checking on it they would inform us - "it's on backorder." Hmmmmmm, must have been recalls that held them up! Well, thanks for all the advice. You've once again helped me save a bundle. Mitch
