I can't let this one go buy without saying that my partner Bill Brooks has done MORE than his share in constructing our rebreathers. I am aware of 1 other group/individual who has constructed and is diving ( as far as I know) a semiclosed rebreather. I'm also know of several people who have constructed and dove O2 units which are now defunct and several groups/people who have worked on rebreathers but do not as far as I know currently have an operational unit. In addition Tracey Robbinette (sp?) had a web page which talked about a club to construct an O2 breather. Despite what some people have said about PO2 control on semiclosed constant mass flow rebreathers we have had no such problem ( we have a single O2 sensor and display plumbed into our loop ). On the other hand we now have a bread board prototype for a fully closed electronic unit. I think it will be a while yet before we dive the Monitor with it! Barrie
