Subject: To All DeepTech Subscribers!!!
Dear DeepTech Subscribers

At last, I have finnished issue 6 and it is at the printers. It should be at
your doorsteps within 30 days.

I know that many of you are wondering why it has taken so long so, here is
the whole story.

On April 7th, just when the issue 5 was at the printers and all was going
well I was doing some yard work around my house when the phone range. It was
Linda Remley, Win Remley's wife. She had stated that Win (my buisness partner
in the magazine) had been injured in a boating accident and that I should
come down to Sarasota Memorial Hospital immediately. Upon my arrival I was
told that Win had died from injuries that he received from the accident.

WOW what a blow. Well for the next couple weeks I had to deal with a loss of
my best friend and business partner, poly bag all the issue # 5's and mail
them, attend all the family funeral arrangements. etc.....

Next, What is going to happen with DeepTech? Should I close it? Should I
continue by myself? Should I buy Linda's share? Should I find some new
partners?

Then another problem arrises. Linda (Wins Wife) doesn't understand why I am
so worried about the magazine, she thinks that I didn't care for Win and that
all I want is DeepTech. She wont sell me here half, she does not even want to
talk to me, so I had to get a lawyer to talk to her lawyer and then the BS
begins, Back and forth. All this time I am slowly putting together the next
issue.

In the end of the 2 month conflict, Bret Gilliam and Fred Garth had joined me
in a partnership. Then all the fine details of partnerships have to be ironed
out.

So that's it, I hope that you all can understand my predicament and see that
I have been working extra hard to make my subscribers happy and fulfill my
end of the contract with you and my advertisers. I did not want to be labeled
as another Aquacorp and take your hard earned money and leave you in the cold
water. I could have quit, I could have just given up and went back to my old
life of just working at the Fire Department and diving every week. But I
don't think I could sleep at night thinking of all the people's money I would
have stollen.

My new partners and I will be working hard to get back on schedule. Your
subscriptions will be honored in full.

Thanks for understanding and I hope that you enjoy issue #6

Curt Bowen
Co-Publisher of DeepTech
