One of these instructors 1) overweight, 2) smokes, 3) no excersize, 4) dives alone, 5) dives deep, and no 6) no backup equipment! The arrogant attitude is really evident and sets a poor example for the new students on the boat (or beach), possibly (IMHO) leading to other disasters in new students. Most of the advanced divers I know know enough to evaluate what the instructors say and question it further so that the LEARN the reason behind some of the rules (or procedures).
