John Earle and I used doxycycline during our PNG trip (wheron I exposed
myself to 64 hours of 1.4 PO2 in thirteen days, and John exposed
himeself to 32 hours). We were more than a little concerned about what
effects the doxycycline would have viz. O2 toxicity, but we experienced
no problems at all. On the other hand, we have no way of knowing whether
or not we were right on the edge of catastrophe. With O2 toxicity,
that's always the case. Which is why George's ealier comment about how
DCS can ruin your day but O2 toxicity can kill you should be taken to heart.

Aloha,
Rich
