Jeremy,

The simplest solution I have found for the 120 to 240 problem is to buy two
chargers on initial purchase. Then buy a two socket box and wire it in
series.  When you plug both chargers in it completes the circuit with each
drawing 120.

If one charger fails the circuit is broken and the other is saved. The only
stipulation is that the chargers be the same.  I have never had a problem
with this system.
