This might seem convoluted, but there are relatively inexpensive 12V to 110(+ or - x%) converters that I have used for other applications. That might be a way to go and you would be able to charge your batteries while driving or while camping as well as having juice for other gadgets that make life simple. This is just a thought, I don't have much experience with AC stuff, but I was in the car stereo biz for 10 years and have used the Astron power supplies for "in vehicle" installations along with as many as 16 (1100 CCA, 12V) batteries to provide a constant source of charge/supply for show vehicles that could draw 200 amps to drive the systems for long durations. And yes I have a loss in high freq range from those loud bothersome cars you hear driving up and down the street at midnight.-EZ > I'm thinking of purchasing a 50 Watt AUL Spectrum 14 for my use back here in > the UK > The problem i have though is that the charger supplied is 120 Volt for the > US Electrical supply and > obviously UK uses 240 Volt. > Does anyone on this list who dives in the UK and owns one of the lights, > please enlighten( no pun intended) me as to how theyv'e > done it as i'm certainly not an Electrician. > Thanks in advance > Jez Davies
