No problem - there's a place where I go diving quite frequently, where I
often see mating MegaMouths while decompressing. Mind you, it's not a
very pretty sight - especially when they start getting kinky and to the
oral stuff (I'm sure you can imagine). Nevertheless, it's more
interesting than watching plankton drift by.

A couple of weeks ago I was following this Architeuthis - a real big one -
and all of a sudden this massive Sprem whale comes out of nowhere. I
figured, "This will be good.", so I hid behind a ock to watch. I was
fully expecting to watch a serious predation event - but instead, the
whale comes up to the squid, opens it's mouth, and this school of juvenile
Coelacanths come out and start "cleaning" the squid (i.e., they were
picking parasites off of it). They little fellas didn't want to get too
far out of the mouth of the whale, so the squid had to wrap its tentacles
around the whale to hold itself close (and all this time we thought those
scars on the whale were from the whales trying to eat the squid).
Incidently, Kevin, I'm ashamed of you! EVERYBODY knows that Coelacanths
are live-bearers! (laying its eggs....GEEEEZ!)

Come with to PNG next year - that's where the Orcas eat reef sharks.

Well, if Mac wasn't so tight-ass proprietary with their disk format
system, they might have actually made it as a company.
