Frederic Badier's report on cave diving in France was very interesting and informative. Thanks Frederic! It's difficult for many of us to imagine what diving this environment entails, so I'm still looking for a good cave diving documentary about the caves in France (and other countries) to distribute through the Technical Diving Video Library, which now includes cave diving documentaries in S. Africa, Australia, UK, Florida, the Bahamas, and Germany. Fore those interested in having a look, without springing for airplane tickets, TDVL does include an excellent 30 minute video (English narration) of high-flow, cold water sump cave diving in Germany's Aache River. Shot on 16mm film, produced by Harald Schetter and friends, this is a good look at their submerged cave environment and a sump chamber, big enough to explore with an inflatable raft, where the divers free-climb the steep, slippery walls looking for leads! Not for cold wimps -- or the faint-hearted! Christopher A.
