Even you should be able to recognize how useless a 7-foot hose around a 
solo diver's neck is.  That's open-water mixed-gas 101.  When you've 
graduated from that level, you'll start to get an appreciation for why 
most or all gas needs to be carried with you.  They maybe you'll 
understand why you need aluminum primaries and dual-baldder BC's when you 
don't use a drysuit.  An then, after that, we can start talking about the 
*really* advanced stuff.
