General consensus on this list is that you are better off with a laptop with with dive planner software and bottom timers than with a computer. This makes sense as they have (as far as I know) not developed a computer which can handle more than 2 mixes of gas or deal with trimix. The exception is the filthy rich rebreather divers who have computers coming out of their golden butts. A while back there was a bloody war on the net of Cochran vs. The World which offended and alienated a lot of folks. It was a textbook example of how not to promote your product. As a result Cochran takes a lot of abuse, more than Bridge II's or Orcas which had their share of production problems. >With great interest I read the emails dealing with the Cochran Nemesis II >Nitrox. The main opinion seems to be that it is not worth it's money. >Could I get some information why many of you think like that. The reason >why I ask is, that I bought that Computer a few weeks ago and used it for >four dives since than. It seems to work perfect. >By the way I live in Germany and according to german diving magazines it >seems not to be so bad. That's the reason why i bought it.
