I think you guys are missing the point here.  Whether or not pony bottles
have any use in "tech diving" is not the issue, a fellow came on to this
list to politely ask a question of some of the most qualified divers he
could locate and instead of getting an answer to his question about HIS
APPLICATION he was flamed for using pony bottles for tech diving.  Get with
the program guys, he was not asking about technical diving, he wanted to
know how to rig a pony bottle.  If you think that the question does not
belong on the Techdiver list ignore it, if you think you may still have
something valuable to contribute to this fellow reply via private email.
If you are some sort of over stuffed fool then by all means take this
opportunity to flame someone who asked a polite question of people he
assumed were qualified to help him.

I can understand hard talk when it is passed back an forth about bogus
practices that are life threatening, but this fellow is talking about
augementing his recreational diving with an additional air source not to
visit the 'Doria or set line in Wakulla.  Wake up.
